Leafy green vegetables are so good for you it’s staggering. Broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, kale, cabbage, and bok choy. They are delicious and packed with substances that benefit the heart and vascular system.
Leafy greens are full of vitamins, including A, C, and K. (If you’re taking warfarin, also known as Coumadin, talk to your doctor before you binge on cruciferous vegetables. Vitamin K makes warfarin less effective.)
On top of all this, leafy greens are rich in fiber, which lowers cholesterol and reduces your risk of heart disease.
