Recipe: Sweet and Sour Meatballs

These too-easy sweet and sour meatballs are the perfect appetizer for your next party. This recipe uses ground turkey breast instead of regular 80% lean ground beef, cutting down the calories, fat and saturated fat. Ground turkey will make your meatballs more tender and tastier. Bonus: they’re kid-pleasing too!

Ingredients

Meatballs
2 lbs ground turkey breast
2 eggs
1 cup oatmeal, grind with food processor
½ cup plain fat-free Greek yogurt
¾ tsp salt

Sauce
1 cup ketchup
¼ cup sugar substitute
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 Tbsp yellow mustard
¼ tsp salt

Preparation

  1. Mix together meatball ingredients. Shape into 2” balls. Put in large baking dish.
  2. Mix sauce ingredients together. Spoon over meatballs.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
