When low back pain lasts more than 12 weeks, treatment is recommended and should start with exercise, rehabilitation, acupuncture, mindfulness-based stress reduction or similar nondrug therapies, says spine physician Marzena Buzanowska, MD, of Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Spine Health.
