Why Dancing Is So Good for Your Kid
Dancing isn’t just good for your child’s physical fitness. It can improve grades, reduce stress and more.
Have music, can dance.

“Unlike many exercises and sports, the only equipment your kids need for a good dance workout is their body,” says Nancy Van Keuls, MD, a Cleveland Clinic pediatrician and certified Zumba instructor.
Dance may even be less stressful, especially for kids who shy away from sports.
“In dance, they’ll never strike out, miss a basket or finish last,” says Dr. Van Keuls. “They can do their own thing. They can become comfortable and confident with their own body. It’s a healthy form of self-expression.”
But physical fitness isn’t all dance can do for your child — or you. Other benefits may surprise you.
