Here are some simple tips to get your body beach-ready:

Add more whole grains to your diet. Whole grains keep us fuller, longer, which will help with weight management. So if you swap your rice, your bread, and your pasta from white to brown, making sure you get 100 percent whole grain options, you can do a tremendous amount of benefit to your health.

Plant a garden.
Gardeners tend to eat more vegetables, and you’ll benefit from the physical activity itself.

Choose healthier desserts. Eat low-fat yogurt topped with berries or granola instead of ice cream. Or you can even top a whole grain waffle with peanut butter or almond butter.

Skip the sugary, high-calorie coffee drinks. We’re not talking about the black coffee you have at your house; we’re talking about the coffee drinks you’re stopping for on your way to work that are filled with calories and fat. Try a low-fat smoothie instead.
