Registered dietitian Amy Jamieson-Petonic suggests trading the milk chocolate for dark chocolate, mixed with fresh fruit and nuts. Dark chocolate that is made of at least 70 percent cocoa contains flavonols, which promote blood flow.

Drizzled with dark chocolate, vitamin-packed, high fiber fruits like strawberries, pineapples and bananas are great options, as are heart-healthy nuts like almonds, cashews and walnuts.
